A Twelve Year Journey To Perfection
Our story of how we got to the course we have today
2014
Jacob moves to Prague as a fresh 21-year-old, having finished a bachelors degree in Nutrition to start life as an English teacher.
2017
After having spent three years obsessing over how to teach his students as efficiently as possible, Version 1.0 of the start-to-finish system is ready and Jacob establishes Speak Like Me, a corporate language school. Jacob also starts learning Czech using the same system.
2021
After 4 years of feedback from students, Version 2.0 of the system is released with a brand new textbook, with lots of efficiency improvements. Speak Like Me continues to grow and starts to get larger international clients. Jacob starts learning Spanish using the same system.
2025
Speak Like Me becomes the best-rated corporate language school in the Czech Republic and is acquired. Jacob disappears for 6 months to work on Version 3.0 of the system and to prepare English With Jacob!
