How it works
Three decisions, made for you
You can't cheat at learning a language, but you can optimise. Here's what twelve years of obsessing got us — and what your teacher brings to every lesson.
Step one
We decide what you learn
Every word and grammar point is ranked by how often you'll actually use it. If it's used all the time, you learn it early. If it's fluff, it isn't in the course at all. That's the whole filter, and it's why our beginner level is 333 words rather than three thousand.

We decide the order you learn it in
Every topic builds logically on the last, right up to conversational fluency, in a simple three-level system. Join at whatever level you're at now and your teacher takes you the rest of the way.

We make sure it stays in your head
Learning it in the lesson is the easy half. Two different problems — remembering words and remembering rules — need two different tools, so we built one for each.

The app
Every word your teacher uses in a lesson is published to your phone before you get home — with the examples, pro tips and pronunciation notes written by the person who taught it to you. Revise on the tram, not at a desk.

Grammar doesn't work on flashcards — you need to see how the pieces sit next to each other. So every level of grammar is laid out on a single printed sheet you can pin above your desk and take in at a glance.
