Beginner

Our beginner course is split into three modules, which take you on a clear path from nothing to good conversation.

Beginner I

Beginner I gives you the essentials you need to have a very basic conversation. You'll learn the top 10 most used verbs, the essential parts of speech (pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions etc), the essential modal verbs (can, have to), how to ask questions, and key How To skills including being able to count, order in restaurants and get to grips with the pronunciation rules. Plus you'll learn the 333 most used words in the language!

Beginner II

Beginner II is all about tenses and making longer sentences. You'll learn all the verb types, the most used tenses, and how to make longer sentences using "in order to" structures, two verbs together and more. You'll also learn comparatives, advanced pronouns (one/ones, each other) and relative clauses. You'll also learn a few more key How To skills and another 333 super practical words!

Beginner III

Beginner III gives you the remaining things you need to know to have a full "toolbox" for good conversation, including: more modal verbs (should, supposed to, modals of certainty), gerunds, participles and more verb types, and a deep dive into clauses, as well as the "part 2's" of many topics covered back in Beginner I, this time in more detail! You'll also learn some fun How To topics such as how to swear and how to talk in a pub, and learn yet another 333 words!
